Strictly control spacing between modules The distance between modules, acrylic face panels and letter casing inner walls directly affects light uniformity. The quantity of modules per circuit must comply with manufacturer specifications. Excessively long wires create voltage drop, resulting in brighter front sections and dim rear sections.
Properly calculate power load and reserve margin Calculate total power consumption of all LED modules and select power supplies with a 20%–30% power reserve. Do not run power supplies at full load continuously; overloading is the leading cause of power supply burnout. Outdoor installation requires waterproof power supplies; indoor projects can use conventional power adapters. Install power supplies in well-ventilated positions, away from direct sunlight and rain.
Standardize wiring process to prevent faults Use copper wires with sufficient wire gauge. Thin wires carrying heavy loads heat up easily. All wiring joints must be insulated and sealed. Outdoor joints need waterproof treatment to stop moisture penetration. Separate power circuits from signal wires and avoid messy overlapping wiring inside letter casings, which brings difficulty for later maintenance.
Carry out full lighting test before sealing letter casings Complete lighting inspection after all modules and wiring are installed, before sealing the letter shell. Replace defective modules and fix wiring issues at this stage. Repairs after full assembly will cause much higher labor cost.
